Book Review: Where Two Hearts Meet by Liz Johnson

A sweet sequel to The Red Door Inn. Author Liz Johnson builds a story around a secondary character from the first book. Caden Holt is the chef at the Red Door Inn, and she loves to be in her kitchen because she loves to cook and bake, but she also prefers to stay in her comfort zone. Her self-built walls begin to crumble when Adam Jacobs checks into the inn.

I liked this story for the delightful romance, but also because the romantic draw deals with Caden’s skewed self-image (she believes she’s too chubby to interest anyone), and proves that love sees the heart and loves what we sometimes dislike about ourselves.

One more reason to like this book: Prince Edward Island is a fairy tale place, and Johnson has included some enchanting descriptions.

I look forward to the next book in the series—On Love’s Gentle Shore.
